Description

This Velveeta Fudge recipe is a creamy, rich treat made with just five simple ingredients. Combining Velveeta cheese, butter, chocolate chips, powdered sugar, and optional pecans, it’s quick to prepare and sets into a deliciously smooth fudge perfect for holidays or anytime indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Velveeta cheese, diced
  • 1 cup salted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 8 cups powdered sugar (2 pounds)
  • 1 ½ cups pecans, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt Velveeta and Butter. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the diced Velveeta and salted butter. Stir frequently to ensure the mixture melts evenly without burning.
  2. Add Chocolate and Vanilla. Once the Velveeta and butter are fully melted, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate is melted and fully incorporated into the mixture. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Add Powdered Sugar. Lower the heat to low. Gradually add the powdered sugar in increments, stirring well after each addition to create a smooth, thick fudge mixture.
  4. Mix in Pecans. Turn off the heat and fold in the chopped pecans if using. Mix them evenly throughout the fudge mixture.
  5. Set the Fudge. Pour the fudge into a prepared baking dish and quickly spread it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow it to set properly.
  6. Cut and Serve. Once set, cut the fudge into 48 small pieces and serve.

Notes

  • For easier cutting, chill the fudge overnight.
  • Use salted butter for balanced flavor; unsalted can be used but consider adding a pinch of salt.
  • Pecans are optional but add a great crunch and flavor contrast.
  • Ensure to stir constantly while melting to prevent burning or clumping.
  • Velveeta cheese helps achieve a smooth, creamy texture unlike traditional fudge.
