Description

Oreo Polar Bear Paws are a fun and festive treat featuring Oreo cookies dipped in creamy white chocolate and decorated with Junior Mints and mini brown M&Ms to resemble bear paws. Perfect for parties or holiday celebrations, these no-bake treats are easy to make and exciting to eat.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Coating

  • 20 ounces white chocolate melting wafers

Cookies and Decorations

  • 1 13.9-ounce package Oreos
  • 1 box Junior Mints
  • 100 mini brown M&Ms (from 1 family size package of mini M&Ms)
  • Sanding sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper to create a clean, non-stick surface for the decorated Oreos to set.
  2. Melt the white chocolate. Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Dip the Oreos. Drop one Oreo into the melted white chocolate. Use a fork to flip the cookie over, ensuring all sides are coated evenly with the chocolate. Lift it out and carefully shake off any excess chocolate. Scrape the bottom across the edge of the bowl to remove extra chocolate and prevent pooling.
  4. Decorate the cookies. Set the chocolate-coated Oreo on the parchment paper. Place one Junior Mint in the center bottom of the Oreo to represent the bear’s paw pad. Surround the top area with four mini brown M&Ms to resemble the toes. Generously sprinkle sanding sugar over the cookie for added sparkle.
  5. Repeat and set. Continue dipping and decorating batches of Oreos (about 5 at a time) until all are done. Transfer the decorated Oreos to the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden completely.
  6. Store and serve. Once set, store the Oreo Polar Bear Paws in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. These treats freeze well, but be aware the mini M&Ms might lose color after thawing.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks to maintain freshness.
  • Freezing decorated Oreos may cause the mini M&Ms to lose their color upon thawing, so freezing is not recommended unless necessary.
  • If you prefer a different look, you can substitute sanding sugar with colored sugar crystals or edible glitter.
  • Using a fork for dipping helps coat the Oreos evenly and allows excess chocolate to drain off cleanly.
  • Working in small batches (around five cookies at a time) makes the dipping and decorating process more manageable and helps the chocolate set before adding decorations.
