Main Ingredients
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 Tbsp orange zest
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 cup raw sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Pulse Ingredients: In a food processor or blender, pulse the cranberries, orange zest, jalapeños, green onions, and cilantro until the mixture is finely chopped but not pureed.
- Mix and Chill: Transfer the chopped mixture to a bowl, then mix in the lime juice, raw sugar, and salt until well combined.
- Refrigerate: Cover the bowl and chill the salsa in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the sugar to dissolve.
- Serve: Enjoy the holiday cranberry salsa as a fresh condiment alongside chips, meats, or as a topping for festive dishes.
Notes
- For less heat, reduce the number of jalapeños or omit the seeds.
- This salsa can be made a day in advance to deepen the flavors.
- Raw sugar can be substituted with granulated sugar or honey for a different sweetness profile.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Add a splash of orange juice for extra citrus brightness if desired.
