Description

Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli is a crispy, delicious appetizer featuring breaded ravioli cooked to golden perfection in an air fryer. Served warm with marinara sauce, this easy-to-make dish is perfect for a quick snack or party starter.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 10-ounce package ravioli (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 2/3 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried basil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (warmed, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare breading mixture. In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoned bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning (or dried basil), and salt to create a flavorful breading.
  2. Prepare egg wash. In another shallow dish, whisk the two large eggs lightly with a fork until well combined.
  3. Bread the ravioli. Dip each ravioli into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully coated, then dredge it in the bread crumb mixture until evenly covered. Set aside.
  4. Preheat air fryer. Set your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for cooking the ravioli.
  5. Arrange ravioli in air fryer. Place the breaded ravioli in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. It’s okay to work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Apply cooking spray. Lightly spray the ravioli with cooking spray to help achieve a golden, crispy texture during cooking.
  7. Air fry ravioli. Cook the ravioli at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  8. Serve. Remove ravioli carefully and serve warm with a side of warmed marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • To reheat toasted ravioli in the oven, bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
  • To reheat in the air fryer, cook at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes until warmed and crispy.
  • You may use fresh or frozen ravioli; if frozen, thaw before breading for best results.
  • For extra crispiness, double dip the ravioli by repeating the egg and bread crumb coating step.
  • If you do not have Italian seasoned bread crumbs, add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 teaspoon Italian herbs to plain bread crumbs.
