Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 box of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
- 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
- 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles
- 3 tablespoons red candy melts (optional for drizzling)
- Green sanding sugar for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare Cake Crumbs: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl. Using a handheld mixer, mix the cakes until a crumbly dough forms. Stir in the festive sprinkles evenly.
- Form Truffle Balls: Using a tablespoon, scoop the cake mixture and roll it between the palms of your hands to form balls. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet and repeat until all the mixture is used.
- Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl either in the microwave in 30-second intervals or using a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
- Dip Cake Balls: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, making sure it is fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then place the coated truffle back on the baking sheet.
- Melt Red Candy Melts: Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or resealable plastic bag in the microwave in 30-second increments, massaging the bag between each to ensure complete melting.
- Decorate Truffles: Snip the edge of the bag and drizzle the melted red candy melts over the truffles. Sprinkle green sanding sugar on top for decoration.
- Set and Serve: Refrigerate the truffles for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to set. Enjoy your festive Christmas Tree Cake Truffles!
Notes
- For easier dipping, chill the cake balls in the fridge for 10 minutes before dipping.
- If white chocolate is too thick, add a small amount of vegetable oil to thin it for smoother coating.
- Use any colorful holiday sprinkles for a festive look.
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Red candy melts drizzle is optional but adds a nice color contrast and extra flavor.
