Description

These Easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders combine tender ribeye steak with sautéed onions and bell peppers, topped with melted provolone cheese on soft slider buns. Perfect for parties or a satisfying meal, these sliders are baked to golden perfection with a flavorful garlic butter topping.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Vegetables

  • 1 ½ pounds ribeye steak - thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow onion - thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper - thinly sliced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Cheese and Buns

  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 slider buns

Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons salted butter - melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly spray a baking pan or dish.
  2. Prepare Ingredients: Thinly slice the ribeye steak, yellow onion, and green bell pepper for even cooking.
  3. Cook Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and season with ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, and 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. Cook until browned and cooked through, then remove and place in a bowl.
  4. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced green bell pepper and onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste and sauté until softened. Remove from heat.
  5. Prepare Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the pack intact. Place the bottom halves in the greased baking dish.
  6. Assemble Sliders: Layer the cooked steak evenly over the bun bottoms, then top with the sautéed onions and peppers. Add the provolone cheese slices on top, then cover with the top halves of the buns.
  7. Make Butter Topping: Melt the butter and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley. Brush this mixture evenly over the tops of the slider buns.
  8. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve: Remove from oven and serve the sliders warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Store leftover sliders in an airtight container or resealable bag in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • To reheat, bake in a preheated 300 degrees Fahrenheit oven for 15 minutes or until warmed through.
  • Microwaving is possible but may cause the buns to become soggy.
  • For a sharper flavor, substitute provolone with American or cheddar cheese.
  • For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or hot sauce to the layers.
